Greetings!
Fall is a time of starting school, organizing routines,
and getting schedules reestablished. It is important
to remember your priorities in life and to
make a conscious effort to bring joy into each day.
Our message this month is about finding joy in your
life. This thought comes from Rain Sundberg,
receiver of our Accountable Kids Top Choice Award.
| Finding Joy in Your Life |
 |
As you go about your daily routine, bring joy into your
activities. When doing the dishes, cooking
meals, cleaning the house, or spending time with your
children, be consciously aware of cultivating a joyful
heart. Don't just go through your day by finishing tasks
and projects. Experience the joy available to
you at all times and in all situations. Be fully present
in whatever you are doing and discover joy in the
simple things. Open your eyes to the
abundance you presently experience. Stop and smell
the flowers. Experience the miracles
surrounding you.
Nurture yourself as you nurture your family and
children. Fill your baskets with joyful moments and
you then have the energy to help those around you.
Joyfully live your life and create this day. True joy is not
based on outward conditions but on inner
awareness. Feel gratitude for all that is available
to you at this moment.
Enjoy the possibilities of this day. Be open to more
and more joy filling your life. Don't miss wonderful
moments because of busy activities, chores, and "to
do" lists. As you access joy, good things become
even better. Consciously bring joy into the activities in
your life today.

| Blog with Accountable Kids |
 |
|
We would like to invite you to follow our new
Accountable Kids blog. We are hoping this will be a
great addition to our website and FaceBook group.
This will be a place where we can informally share
parenting tips, helpful ideas, and connect with other
parents who are raising accountable Kids. You
will be able to read posts from Scott, myself, and our
representatives and then make comments or ask
questions. Hope to see you on our blog. It is going to
be fun!

| Family of the Month - The Dickerson Family |
 |
Hi, I was first introduced to this program at the MOPS
Convention in Orlando 2 years ago. At the time my
children were too young but my friend and her sister
bought the program. After seeing success, she had
me read the book. As an educator by profession, I
could easily understand the philosophy behind the
program.
Fast forward two years- I am the coordinator of my
local MOPS group where my friend shared
Accountable Kids in one or our meetings. I was
among the numerous moms who ordered the
program. After hanging the boards and explaining the
system to my 3 ½ and my 5 year old, my 5 year old ran
over to me hugged me and said I love you - the first
time in his lifetime he spontaneously said that to me -
I took that as a positive sign. My youngest son has had
some anger issues and after talking with a counselor,
she suggested a visual system. We implemented the
AK program about 3 weeks later. The first week he
ripped his cards in half and I had to re-glue his pegs
in countless times, but by the end of the week he was
complying. It has been a month now and we have
seen a remarkable difference in our kids. They are
excited to flip their cards and earn their tickets. They
just went on their first dates yesterday and are excited
to . . .

It is the simple things in life that make living
worthwhile,
the sweet fundamental things such as love and duty,
work and rest, and
living close to nature.

JOY DVD |

We are proud to announce the winner of the
Accountable Kids Top Choice Award. Rain Sundberg
has created an inspiring 60 minute DVD that
combines uplifting music with incredible macro
photography. Our kids love to play the DVD as
background music during study time, my sister plays it
in her classroom, and I play it when entertaining. I
have never seen anything like this!!! To make it easy
to find, we are now offering this DVD through the
Accountable Kids web site.
